I'm changing the way i work, particularly in regard to how much time i sit behind a screen.
Yesterday i left Facebook, Linkedin and took down my Wednesday blog whilst i made some changes.
It took me an intense 5 hours to download a copy of my Facebook for future nostalgia, delete every single image & message ever put on there, delete my cutting groups and fan pages, turn off my wall and all email notifications, message various people to let them know to contact me elsewhere, invent a password i had no possible chance of memorizing, write it down on paper, delete the account (not deactivate), and then EAT the password!!!!!
mad antics!)))
it takes 2 weeks for Facebook to permanently forget me. I then deleted all my iPad apps that link to Facebook, removed buttons and shortcuts off browsers, and deleted saved passwords and browser caches.
I'm sure i've missed something.
Now i turn my attention to my website.
I no longer wish to spend time updating or changing it, so i have quit blogging too.
It doesn't stop there, but other possible changes are part of the future, not now.
The purpose of all this change is to use computers less often and more purposefully, and to separate work from social.
Patterns don't change on their own.
That password tasted good btw!!))
IT IS NOW TIME FOR MY WEDNESDAY WEBSITE TO OFFICIALLY END.
IT HAD A LIFE SPAN, A BEGINNING AND AN END, DEFINED BY ME.
YOU WILL NOT SEE ME IN THIS WAY AGAIN.
I CREATE THE CHANGES NECESSARY TO REMAIN FREE.
SO THIS IS THE FINAL POST..

All garments, video, graphics, websites and text are copyrighted to Julian Roberts (c) 2009. A lot of the images assembled above came from Google or somewhere, and are the copyright of their original owner. But their assembly together is very much my own doing, it's difficult to say really where creative ownership begins & ends, i'm certainly not averse to creative trespass. So no reproduction without permission, unless you're feeling subversive, punk.
